Carrot Yellowstone is an unusual bright canary yellow maincrop carrot with long, smooth cylindrical roots that can reach up to 20cm (8″) in length. It is a versatile carrot, sought after for cooking and also looks great on fresh vegetable platters. The broad-shouldered imperator type grows to 8-9” and offers a sweet and mild flavor. The roots perform well in almost every soil type and are well adapted to many growing conditions. The cooler the soil, the longer it takes for germination, up to 3 weeks. It is recommended to start sowing outdoors 3 weeks before the last frost into mid-summer, and the soil moisture should be maintained regularly until germination.
